NORM NOT OUT YET
March 11th, 2010
*Reports today from the NY Post that Norm Roberts is about to get fired is a little premature. They are waiting on their NIT invite and the season could possibly extend another week or two for the Red Storm. And it’s business as usual in Queens. Norm is still doing his Red Storm Report Show today as usual.

I just saw that ESPN announced Norm is gone.
I think this is terrible. He had to clean up from one of the most corrupt coaches in the NCAA. Now
that he’s cleaned out the stench and appears on the verge of winning, St. John’s says thanks and don’t
let the door hit ya in the a– on the way out.
Just more proof that nice guys finish last.
And a fine lesson for the students who played for and respected him!
Vin - Do you think Fran McCaffery will be seriously considered or consider the Rutgers or St. John’s jobs should they be open? I think he can do better or stay at Siena making them into another Gonzaga.
Fran makes 550K per year guaranteed! I heard it right from his agent’s mouth this past weekend in Albany. Because of this great contract, he can be very picky. That’s pretty much what Roberts and Fred Hill are making. But both schools would have to ‘up’ the money and I’d be shocked if he wasn’t contacted if one them opened.

Any word on whom fordham is going to select? does norm angle for that position?
As first reported here……they’re waiting on the NIT invite first. ESPN jumping the gun again.

Thanks for reading and writing.
As of right now, Tom Pecora has a better shot at being the next Fordham coach than Norm Roberts does.
